Brainy is a small independent project: a website and a Telegram bot for useful answers, research, and experiments with language models.
For a while, I tried to build it mostly on my own. I did not have enough time to work on it properly, and the project almost disappeared. I also opened this donation page, but the honest answer is simple: nobody donated.
That was not the end of Brainy, though. I made a good crypto trade, and agreed with myself that if it worked out, I would buy a Mac mini M4 with 16 GB of memory. The trade worked out. The Mac mini is now at home, and Brainy lives there together with my other projects.
What is different now
Brainy is no longer a project I have to push forward alone. I have handed the idea of the website and the Telegram bot to modern AI agents. They help maintain the code, improve the content, and decide what the project should become next.
This does not make Brainy a big company or a finished product. It is still a small, open-source experiment that grows when there is time, energy, and a useful idea.
The service is intended to remain free. The code is available on GitHub, and Brainy is available on the website and in Telegram.
What donations are for
You can support Brainy with a small donation for electricity, hosting, domains, model access, and the other quiet expenses that keep a project running.
A larger donation would help me replace the current Mac mini with more powerful hardware. That would make it possible to run stronger models locally and give the agents more room to work on Brainy and other useful projects.
There is no fundraising counter here because there is no artificial campaign. If something changes, I will update this page honestly.
